About UsSpring Valley Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship of believers dedicated to the growth of individuals and the church through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the teaching of God’s Word. We welcome people who are unsure about who God is and what their relationship is to them. We encourage people who know Christ to come and continue their growth with us. We believe that God has placed us in this community in order to make Him available to all and we are committed to the proclamation of His message, the Gospel. In our church we believe in teaching and preaching the Bible, the living Word of God. You will not find any warm fuzzy sermons here or philosophical discussions. We believe that people deserve to be taught from the Bible and learn what it teaches. People learn about God and grow in their relationship with Him through hearing His Word. Most often, the sermons will go all the way through a book of the Bible so that people can learn the continuity of what God is teaching them. Bible studies are a big part of what we do. We want people to have an opportunity to discuss and learn God’s Word with others. We want an environment where people can ask questions and get credible answers from people who not only have studied the Bible but live it in their life. We want our training in the Bible to be like an ocean where the newest of people will never have to worry about drowning and the seasoned believer will never find the bottom. Church HistorySpring Valley Chapel was started in the mid 1965 by area people who wanted to have a local church. They met in the newly constructed Killin Chapel. Throughout the years, several lay pastors served the church. By 1996, the church was down to eight people and ready to close their doors. One of the church members heard about Village Missions and asked for full-time leadership. Tim and Pam Buchanan were sent here by Village Missions as pastoral leadership They continue to lead the church today. Since that time the church has continued to grow and meet in the Killin Chapel. The church has become financially independent and continues to partner with Village Missions in planting new churches. Local church members have stepped forward and have been trained in the spiritual leadership of the church. Lay leadership and participation is a very important part of the church’s past, present, and future. Today we are looking forward to building a new church facility
