Our Ministries

Prayer – Each Sunday Morning at 9 a.m. before services, we meet for a time of sharing, prayer requests and prayer. This is a time of fellowship and support in a loving and caring environment. We also have an email prayer chain and a bulletin prayer request insert for those who want others to share with them in needs and praises. We believe in the power and ministry of prayer.

Worship – Our regular Sunday morning worship begins at 9:30, but visitors and guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early for a time of fellowship and greeting at 9:15.
Our services deliver a mixture of old and new songs and a powerfully delivered sermon emphasizing the understanding and usefulness of God’s Word in our everyday life. We share in communion the last Sunday of each month and it is open to everyone who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thursday Works – Busy this Sunday? Can’t get to your regular church? Working or traveling this weekend? Then see if maybe ‘Thursday Works.” We have good news; Thursday Works is an additional service coming soon and will be a one hour contemporary service from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

Extra – Each Sunday following our regular worship we provide a time of Extra for the adults. This time is spent teaching from the Bible and conducting group discussion. This is to allow each person to gain a better understanding of the deeper truths of God’s Word. It is also a great opportunity for people to share their own thoughts and experiences, ask questions and encourage one another in our spiritual growth.

J.U.M.P. – A dynamic program for kids offered at the same time as Extra following the Sunday morning service. J.U.M.P. stands for: Jesus Understands My Problems, Prayers, and Purpose. It is a great time for kids to learn on their level and with their peers. It is fun time spent focusing on the Word of God through study and memorization.

Small Groups – Our small groups meet twice a month for Bible Study and Fellowship. It is a great opportunity to build some lasting friendships and gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

Sweat Teams – We all could use a helping hand from time to time. The deacons head up our Spring Valley Chapel Sweat Teams that rally together to help those who are sick, elderly, or just need a little extra help with a project. These teams bring together the abundance of talents available in our church family.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast – The second Saturday of each month, the men of the church meet for breakfast, fellowship, and Bible study. This is a great time for the men to get to know one another better and share the struggles and challenges that men have in common.

Women’s Ministries – Women have unique spiritual, emotional, and physical needs just like any group of believers. Our church deaconesses focus on the needs of women in our church and the community. The deaconesses work with the pastor to create studies and times of fellowship that give emphasis to women’s spiritual needs.
